曹县木雕：山东的朽木重生艺术

常言道：“朽木难雕也”，但山东菏泽曹县木雕产业却走出了一条康庄大道。曹县木雕历史悠久，花纹图案种类繁多，至明清时已颇为盛行，木雕制品涵盖生活用品、祭祀用品和艺术品等多个领域。2021年，曹县木雕技艺入选第五批国家级非物质文化遗产代表性项目名录。

"A decaying wood is hard to carve." The art of woodcarving, deeply rooted in the history of Caoxian, Heze, Shandong, has indeed carved out a remarkable path. With a rich heritage, Caoxian's woodcarving showcases a wide array of intricate patterns and designs. By the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it had flourished within various domains, including everyday goods, ceremonial items, and fine art. In 2021, the woodcarving craftsmanship of Caoxian was included in the fifth batch of China's national intangible cultural heritage representative projects list.

曹县木雕发展传承到今天已有七大类近四千个品种，包括木雕屏风、挂屏、立体艺术台屏、神龛、罗汉、佛像以及各种家具雕刻装饰组件等艺术性较高的制品，题材多以吉庆祥瑞寓意的内容为主。曹县木雕制作善以意塑形，精工雕刻，形象简洁明快，造型逼真，古朴之中见精美，大俗之中见雅韵。

Caoxian's woodcarving has evolved over time and now encompasses nearly four thousand different varieties, organized into seven major categories.These include exquisitely carved wooden screens, hanging screens, three-dimensional artistic tabletop screens, shrines, sculptures of arhats, Buddha statues, and ornamental components. Many of these creations feature themes that convey blessings and auspicious meanings. Caoxian's woodcarvers excel in using symbolism to shape their form, showcasing precision in their craftsmanship. Their work is characterized by its simple yet vivid imagery, combining intricate skill with rustic charm, and revealing an understated elegance even in everyday objects.

曹县注重培育龙头企业，将非遗技艺融入产品开发，加快推动多产业融合发展。曹县还充分利用传统媒体、自媒体，大力开展相关非遗摄影展、非遗进校园进乡村进社区、“非遗＋直播”等文化活动，让群众身临其境感受非遗文化的内涵与魅力；发挥电商优势，搭建营销新平台，鼓励非遗传承人或企业“上网”带货，实现线上线下同步发展、门店直播齐头并进。

Caoxian places a significant emphasis on nurturing leading enterprises and integrating intangible cultural heritage into product development, which promotes the convergence of multiple industries. The government also leverages traditional and new media channels, actively organizing events such as intangible cultural heritage photography exhibitions, cultural activities in schools and rural areas, and "intangible cultural heritage + live streaming" initiatives. These efforts enable the public to experience firsthand the rich content and charm of intangible cultural heritage. They harness the advantages of e-commerce by establishing new marketing platforms and encouraging intangible cultural heritage inheritors or businesses to promote their products online.This approach facilitates synchronized development both online and offline, with live-streaming sales.

近年来，曹县木雕频频在国际、国内各大展会大放异彩，是曹县标志性文化符号之一，也是曹县支柱产业之一，实现了技艺传承和产值创造“双丰收”。曹县非遗木雕产业从无到有，从起步到精湛技艺，背后凝聚的是匠心，是几十年来曹县人的不断实践和辛勤汗水，让一块块朽木焕发新生。

In recent years, Caoxian's woodcarving has gained significant recognition at both domestic and international exhibitions, making it one of the iconic cultural symbols and a pillar industry of Caoxian. This achievement represents a double success, as it contributes to the preservation of traditional craftsmanship while generating substantial economic value. The evolution of Caoxian's intangible cultural heritage in woodcarving, from its start to mastery, is a testament to the craftsmanship, decades of dedication, and hard work of the people of Caoxian. It has breathed new life into the silent wood, epitomizing the spirit of innovation and perseverance.
